ACTOR'S REP AND PLAY PRODUCTIONS CLASS AUDITION DETAILS
Here is everything you need to know about auditions for 2024-2025 CLASSES
STEP 1: FILL OUT THE AUDITION APPLICATION ON THE HOME PAGE! READ OVER ALL THE DETAILS WITH YOUR GROWNUP. DECIDE WHICH CLASS (OR BOTH) YOU ARE AUDITIONING FOR
STEP 2: PUT TOGETHER A 3 MINUTE "SET" OF AUDITION MATERIALS FROM THOSE LISTED BELOW. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR PLAY PRODUCTIONS YOU SHOULD DO AT LEAST ONE MUSICAL SELECTION AND ONE SHAKESPEARE SELECTION. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR BOTH CLASSES THEN PLEASE DO ONE SELECTION FROM MUSICAL, ELEPHANT'S GRAVEYARD, AND SHAKESPEARE. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR REP THEATRE ONLY, THEN CHOOSE 1-2 OF THE SELECTIONS FROM ELEPHANT'S GRAVE YARD AND ONE SELECTION OF SHAKESPEARE.
ELEPHANT'S GRAVEYARD AUDITION CUTS
Elephant's Graveyard is based on a true story! It is very stylized. Very dramatic. Very cool! Patterson will make copies of the script so they're available for perusal. Research and understanding the characters in a script is very important for auditions!

SHAKESPEARE AUDITION CUTS
This is a table that has a number of selections from Love's Labour's Lost. My recommendation is that you do a little research about the characters for these selections. I also highly recomment that you "translate" these selections so you KNOW WHAT YOU'RE SAYING! This is a very funny and physical comedy play, BUT we need to know you've got a handle on the language. REMEMBER all the stuff you've learned in class about diction, vocal variety, interpretation, etc then make some BIG character choices.
STEP 4- ON MAY 1ST, COME TO THE AUDITORIUM AT 2:40. WE WILL PARTICIPATE IN A GROUP WORKSHOP UNTIL 3:30. THEN YOU'LL DO YOUR INDIVIDUAL, 3 MINUTE SELECTION, INDIVIDUALLY AFTER THAT.
