PRODUCTIONS

You'll see photos of some of the productions we've performed throughout the years throughout this website.

One of the best ways to be involved is to audition for a production! Every year we have a variety of productions!

Big Musical takes place every fall--anyone can audition for this! Auditions happen at the beginning of each school so keep your eyes open and check the audition link on this site to be sure you don't miss any information!

A nonmusical play (aka, the straight play). The casting requirements change year to year depending on what play title the director's choose. Singing and dancing not your thing? Don't worry, we always have a great play without all that singing and dancing!

Advanced Theatre Class performs a children's theatre tour and a one-act play in the spring.

Play Productions Class performs 1-2 plays each year for competition and center stage showcase

Musical Dance Theatre class performs a musical review of some sort in the spring each year.

Intro to Tech and Stage Crew will build, paint, prep, and run every production and assembly throughout the year.

UTAH THEATRE ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE ---DRAMACON!

FHS Theatre has the opportunity to participate in the Utah Theatre Association Conference: DramaCon! This is a great opportunity for students to attend 3 full length productions and to participate in acting, design, directing, teaching, dance, and technical workshops directed by college professors and invited guests over a three day period. Also, students will have the opportunity to participate in the Utah Young Playwrights Festival. For over thirty years, the Utah Theatre Association has supported educational theatre in the state of Utah. The Association was created by educators throughout the state with a goal of creating production and educational experiences for students outside the classroom environment. This year’s theme is “Dramacon! BOOTCAMP” We have some very exciting guest artists that work in many different fields in theatre including Broadway performers. It’s exciting!

In addition, students have the opportunity to prepare for and participate in Acting Scholarship Screenings and college Technical Theatre Arts scholarship interviews. This is a wonderful opportunity for all seniors to pursue theatre in college. It is also a marvelous opportunity for sophomores and juniors to watch, observe, learn, and prepare for their own scholarship opportunities in upcoming years.

Dramacon 2023 will be held January 12-14 at UTAH VALLEY UNIVERSITY. Students will receive more information as we approach registration!
